Heard of the Acai Berry?

You probably hadn’t heard of the Acai berry until recently, due to all the media coverage it has been getting. You are probably asking yourself and other people, is it authentic? Is it another fad? If you are overweight or you’re just concerned about your health and often get sick, or even If you’re addicted to beauty products, then I recommend you stay on this page and read the rest of my article.

The Acai berry is of course a fruit. In the western world it has been basically unknown until recent scientific discoveries proved how beneficial it can be to the human body. If you have heard how the fruit protects your body like no other food and helps you lose weight then you are in the right area, but one thing is for sure, not the only area!  It can increase your energy levels which obviously results in better health as you can do more work and more exercise.

I have listed just a few of the many benefits that the Acai can offer below.

Fiber

It has been proved that nearly half of the Acai is actually made up of fiber. This is quite a substantial chunk of a so called super food. Most fruits don’t actually contain fiber, so finding this fruit is quite a breakthrough. Fiber helps you remove toxins from your system due to your digestive system being massively improved by the Acai.

Phytonutrients

Phytonutrients are an antioxidant. They don’t work like expected, instead of attacking cells they work on DNA to repair any damage that has been created, this is a huge advantage if it is in any food, and of course it’s in the Acai berry.

Fatty Acids

The berry includes more essential fatty acids than any other source. To remain strong your body needs to retain a lot of water, a lot of moisture. This is what the monounsaturated oleic encourages. It will also help control and work on any bad cholesterol.


Antioxidants

Last, but certainly not least, is antioxidants. You may not know what they are but they fight away any harmful products in our body, e.g. damage from sub burn. When you get sun burn it begins to stop cell regeneration, resulting in the organs of your body working slower and nowhere near full capacity, and when this happens you become much more of an easy target for diseases. One particular problem that may have alerted you to the word antioxidant and the Acai berry in the past is the ageing process. This is one that many people, particularly women, try to combat. Antioxidants can stop this process and considering the Acai berry has a lot of them in, you may want to give them a try!

After reading this you are probably very curious about the Acai berry, I know I was when I heard about it. The taste is quite nice and even if you don’t like it, there are pills and yogurt’s and even fruit juices available to you in your local supermarket or better yet, online.
